Topic: When Not to Keep a Secret
You want to respect a confidence, but what if the secret is dangerous or
frightening? What should you do? Who should you tell, and when is it okay
not to keep a secret?
Presentation:
Entry must be typed or printed on 8-1/2 x 11 white, unlined paper, no more
than 750 words, with numbered pages. It must be double spaced, correctly
spelled and punctuated. Pages must be stapled to separate cover page
that includes:
- YOUR NAME
- YOUR ADDRESS
- YOUR PHONE#
- YOUR GRADE
- YOUR SCHOOL
- SCHOOL ADDRESS
- SCHOOL PHONE #
- YOUR TEACHER ’S NAME
- A release form signed by parent or guardian and student must be included.
To prevent any possible bias, this information will not be available to
the judges until winners have been chosen. Family members of the American
Psychiatric Association, APA Alliance, co-sponsoring organizations are not
eligible for this project.
Award:
National Winner will receive a $500 EE savings bond and recognition at
their state chapter of the American Psychiatric Association. Second Place
will receive a $300 EE savings bond. Third Place will receive a $100 EE
savings bond.
