NATIONAL ESSAY PROJECT

“SECRETS”

This agreement is made between _______________________________(writer) and the American Psychiatric Association Alliance (APA Alliance) and the American Medical Association Alliance (AMAA).

Writer is the creator of a “SECRETS” entry, a copy of which is attached, and is the sole owner of the copyright in that work. The APA Alliance and the AMA Alliance desires to obtain that copyright and reserves the right to publish or reproduce that essay. Any proceeds which may result from the sale of reproductions of the essay will be devoted to further community educational outreach campaign activities.

It is therefore agreed in consideration of publication of the essay that the writer hereby assigns, transfers and conveys to the APA Alliance and the AMA Alliance, and their successors, that copyright in the United States or elsewhere, including all right of registration or publication incident to copyright ownership.

All entries will become the property of the APA and AMA Alliances.

It is also agreed that acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name and photograph in printed materials, in website promotions and for other promotional purposes, unless prohibited by law.
